Powdery Mildew presents itself as a flour like, powdery substance coating the blades of the grass. It can resemble everything from a light dusting to a heavy, complete coating. It tends to occur most often on Kentucky Bluegrass, in shadier areas where the air humidity is high and circulation is poor.
Except for on very high value turf, fungicide applications are unnecessary and are not recommended. This disease just doesn’t cause much of any actual damage.
