The Teed & Brown Name, Logo and Tagline are all registered marks of Teed & Brown Inc.,
Brown patch is typically seen during the summer under warmer (85+ degrees) and wetter, more humid conditions. It also occurs more frequently when nitrogen levels in the grass plants are higher. It can be very destructive under the right circumstances.
While fungicides can offer some control over Brown Patch, the more natural and healthy approach is to simply manage the conditions. During the heat of the summer we do not fertilize heavily, and we will recommend less frequent waterings to let the grass dry out more. Typically, proper maintenance practices will either prevent Brown Patch, or will minimize any damage. If you suspect you have Brown Patch, let us know and we’ll take a look to decide on the best approach.
